Sullana

This past week was awesome and I love the new area. There's a lot of reasons why but one of the main reasons why is because we have DR. Pepper here! It's also nice to have running water after not having it for 4 weeks.

So we saw a lot of good success here this past week and it's nice because I didn't have to knock a single door to find new people. The members here are awesome and help a lot. Right now we are pretty much just finding families that are less active but they have people that aren't members. So we are helping them reactivate and inviting the others to baptism.

It looks like we could have some baptisms this transfer and maybe even one this week if everything works out. We could also have a lot more baptisms here but a lot of people aren't married. Some of them have plans to be married so if we could get that figured out then we could have a lot of success.

Love you guys!

Transfers

Well this week we got transfers and I'm not in Talara anymore. I'm in Sullana now which is closer to Piura so I might make it there one day. The area looks nice so far and I've heard a lot of good things about it. It was a little hard to say bye to the people in Talara but not too hard because I didn't have too much time there.

Not too much happened other than walking and contacting this week. However, I got called up on Sunday to give a talk at the last minute and I had 20 minutes to fill. It was actually crazy because I was able to talk the whole 20 minutes and I never thought that would've happened. I just pretty much taught the Restoration though so it wasn't too hard.

Love you guys!

Missionaries sang as they walked and walked and walked...

Well not a whole lot happened this week other than we did a lot of walking. A lot of our citas were falling and we ended up just contacting a ton. We were able to find some people like we normally do but they don't progress because they don't want to do anything other than listen.

We also had some baptisms planned for this week but 1 ended up moving away so that kind of stinks. The other one we are just postponing a little bit to help her progress a little more and make sure she has a strong testimony.

Not too much has happened other than that this week but we do get transfers this week. Anything can happen so I'm a little nervous but we'll see what happens.

Love you guys and have a good week!

Baptism!

This week was pretty hectic and crazy because we had to do a lot of traveling for our zone conference in Piura and my companion had another meeting to go on Friday in Piura. (Piura is about 2.5 hours from where we're at.) The multizona was fun and it was crazy to meet a bunch of new people because the 2 areas I've been in are not close to Piura at all and that's where all the other missionaries are.

We didn't have a whole lot of time to work and proselyte but we did have a baptism on Saturday! We baptized Kevin which was a really spiritual experience but fun experience at the same time.

We might have another baptism this transfer but it might be postponed for a later date. We're working really hard though and have a seen quite a few miracles.

Love you guys!

Pics from the baptism

We went to the grand canyon this week (this hole is in front our room and it's the reason we haven't had water for 2 weeks...)
We also went to Rio to see the Jesus statue
