March 26, 2018

Hey guys how's it going? It was a really good week here and we should have some baptisms soon.

It has been awhile since we had taught David just because a lot of things kept happening and we were never able to visit him. We did get to teach him twice this past week and it went super well. He still has desires to be baptized and we're planning on doing that in a few weeks which we're super excited about. The only sad thing is that I might not get to be there because transfers are this coming week. I want to stay but if I do then I'll be here for another transfer after that one because Elder Meza goes home next transfer. I'm nervous for transfers but we'l see what happens.

We also have another investigator who is 16 years old named Jorge Luis. He's been an investigator for awhile but is nervous about baptism. His baptismal date is for this week but it might be difficult with General Conference and everything. He's awesome though so we'll see how things go this week.

Love you guys!

Multizona and Scripture Chase

It was another enjoyable week here. We didn't have too much success or time with our investigators this week because we were busy traveling to Tumbes all week for interviews and our multizona. The multizona was awesome and a lot of fun and I learned a lot. We had a huge scripture chase at the end of it which was a lot of fun and I got 2nd place :(. I was literally a page away from winning it all but it oh well. It just felt nice to be able to compete in something haha.

Like I said not too much happened with finding people and stuff but we did have a cool experience with a less active this week. We had met him once about a week back and he's from Venezuela. There's a lot of Venezuelans coming to Peru these days because of the state of their country right now. Anyways, we sat down on a bench Saturday night to send an a message and call our investigators to invite them to church and he just came and sat down by us. He's about 26 and served a mission but has been less active for a few years. It was cool to listen to his experiences from his mission and how much he had learned from it. We were able to give him another Book of Mormon because he lost a lot of stuff as he came down here. It was just a spiritual experience as we sat down with him and talked and we look forward to helping him in the future.

Love you guys and take care!

March 12, 2018

It was another good week in Zorritos and we have some good progress here. My Companion got a little sick this past week so it moved a little slower than normal but still pretty fast.

Not too many exciting things happened this week but we did find someone awesome who lives in the edge of our area and we actually met him at church. He has met with the missionaries before about a year and a half back so he already knows a ton about the church. The first question he asked when we met with him at his house was if he could be baptized which caught us a little off guard haha. However, we will have to get permission to baptize him because of some circumstances. We're excited to work with him and hope we can baptize him soon.

Other than that not too much happened so hope you guys have a good week!

Love,

Basketball, Dr Pepper, Baptisms and Crocodiles

It was another good week in Zorritos. Not too much happened but we do have some investigators progressing well but some of them are afraid to accept a date for baptism. We're working with them hard but sometimes it can be frustrating.

This week we had the opportunity to go down to Sullana which is a 5 hour bus ride but we went down for the baptism of one of my companion's investigators in his last area. It was a really spiritual experience and it was cool to see how happy my comp was to baptize him and how happy the investigator was as well.

After the baptism, they had a ward activity there which was sweet. I got to play basketball for the first time in 4 months. They also have a store there in Sullana that sells Dr. Pepper so I got to drink that for the first time in 4 months as well.

We had an awesome P-day as well today. We went to place called Puerto Pizarro where we got to ride on a boat and see crocodiles and other stuff. I have some cool pictures I will try to send.

Love you guys!
