Transfers

This week was awesome but sad at the same time. Elder Hardwick and I were hoping to stay together for at least one more transfer but that didn't happen. Elder Hardwick was transferred to another area and I stayed here with someone named Elder Lopez from Argentina. I've heard a lot of good things about him and that he's a fun guy so we should get along pretty well.

We have seen a lot of progress in our area and we should baptize the last few weeks of this transfer. We found a less active family this past week that was super cool and they were able to make it to church yesterday which was awesome. They have some kids that aren't baptized either but only the younger one wants to listen and be baptized. The other ones are 16 and 18 and we're going to try to work with them but they'll be a little more difficult.

Love y'all!

This week was amazing and we saw a lot of miracles.

This week was amazing and we saw a lot of miracles. We found 2 awesome people this week that even came to church yesterday. We were able to put a baptismal date with them as well on the first cita and they're very receptive. Their date is for the end of June. We also have another investigator here who has come to church the last few weeks and is even going to all of the actividades. The ward is awesome and is helping us in citas and they are just good at friending everyone. It looks like we could have 4-6 baptisms next transfer.

We have transfers this week but we're hoping to stay together for another transfer. Time is flying by and we're having a lot of fun and success.

Love y'all!

Multizona with Elder Montoya

This week was pretty awesome and flew by quickly. We didn’t have much time to go and proselyte because of the multizona and interviews. We also had some other meetings and had to some help some people in our zone.
The good news about our area is that we should have some baptisms next transfer and we have some references to go teach this week.
The multizona was fun and we had the opportunity to teach President Vega in front of 3 zones and Elder Montoya from the 70 was watching. It actually turned out really well even though we were really nervous.  President Vega and Elder Montoya loved it and said they felt the Spirit testify strongly through us.
We had another fun activity for Mother's day as a district. We went and sang song songs and delivered flowers and balloons to all of the mothers we are teaching. A lot of them were very appreciative and even made it to church on Sunday.
Love y'all!

May the Fourth be with You

This week was pretty good and pretty fun. There was some good progress in our area and we had a good amount of people that went to church. One investigator named Yaris came to church for the 1st time and loved it and was able to make a lot of new friends. We also have a family that is awesome. The dad is a member that has reactivated and we are working with his wife and 2 of their kids that are 20 years old and 11 years old. The wife is in the process of getting divorced from her first husband and then they’ll get married. They’re all ready to get baptized but we will have to wait until July when all the paper work is done.
We had a good May the Fourth be with you and cinco de mayo. A member made us tacos that were delicious and they also happened to have a Darth Vader doll thing.
This week will be interesting because we will have a multizona and Elder Montoya will be there from the Seventy. My companion and I will have to give a class and then we will have to give a demonstration of a lesson and President Vega or Elder Montoya will be the investigator. We’re a little nervous but it should turn out well.
Also, I had a great achievement this week and I'm able to touch my toes. I'll send pics next week to prove it.
Love y'all and go Rockets!
