BAUTISMO

It was a good final week here in Zorritos and I finished my fifth transfer here with a baptism! We were able to baptize the PF and reactivate most of her family as well. It was awesome to get to know that family and help them but it was also really hard to say bye to them. There will also be a for sure baptism of the 2nd week of this transfer in Zorritos but I won't be there for it :(.

I'm in Talara now in an area called Bello Horizonto with Elder Dupaix who is from Wisconsin. He seems like a really cool guy so far so I'm looking forward to this transfer even though there is not a whole lot out here in Talara haha. Now I'm only 3 hours from Piura Instead of 6.

Anyways, it was hard to say bye to some people and leave Zorritos after such a long time because it felt like my home.

Take care and love you guys!

World Cup

It's World Cup season so things have a been a little crazy here. Peru is in it for the first time in 36 years so it's been exciting. We have permission to watch the Peru games if we are with a member or investigator. We watched the first game with some members but sadly they lost even though they were a way better team than Denmark. We were especially hoping for a win and then people would be happier and want to listen to us haha.

Some good things have happened here other than the World Cup though. We might have a baptism this week which I'm stoked about! It would be nice to have a baptism right before I leave. Transfers are next week so I imagine that I will be leaving. However, we have a for sure baptism the next week haha. She was the PF that we found. She was supposed to get to baptized this week but we won't be able to do some difficulties.

Hope all is well for you guys and love you guys!

PB&J Sandwiches

It was a good week here in Zorritos and some good things happened.

We should have at least 1 baptism the last week of the transfer if everything goes according to plan and we could have the possibility of 2. These are probably my last 2 weeks here in Zorritos which will be bitter sweet. It will be nice to go to another area but it will also be hard to say bye to some people.

A cool experience we had this past week happened last Sunday. My companion wanted to cook something Sunday night but we didn't have oil so we called our only member to see if we could borrow some. We went to go pick it up and they asked us to give one of their daughters a blessing who was having problems with her marriage. We gave the blessing and the next day when we talked to them she told us that she had never felt anything like that before. She had always liked to talk to us but never wanted to listen to any of the lessons but after the blessing she has decided to listen to them and is super excited for them.

We also had a ward activity this week where we had to bring a typical plate for dinner. I decided to make PB&J sandwiches haha. Most of them had never tried peanut butter before but they loved it and the sandwiches were the first thing gone.

Love you guys and have a good week!

Hammock life

It was another pretty good week here in Zorritos. We were busy all week but nothing too crazy really happened.

We had some baptisms planned for this transfer but we might have to push their dates back because they weren't able to go to church yesterday. They are still doing well but the big problem we have is getting them to church. We will see what happens in the next few weeks and we may have the opportunity to baptize right before I leave.

Love you guys and take care!
